Sevilla is world-renowned for their ceramics. Triana, a neighbourhood south-west of the city centre over the Alfonso XIII canal, is famous for its winding alleyways lined with pretty ceramic shops. It is also home to some of the best tapas bars too, so there's plenty of choice to inspect what you've bought whilst you enjoy a tapa or two (making it tapas!).
Our favourites in Seville include:
Cerámica Triana
One of Seville's most popular, Cerámica is a treasure trove of fabulous pottery, from vibrant water jugs to football iconography on the wall. Be sure to check out the Centro Cerámica Triana next door, a ceramics museum in an old factory with preserved hand-painted tiles.
Location: C. Callao, 14, 41010 Sevilla
Ceramica RUIZ
Cerámica RUIZ specialises in kitchen utensils and traditional murals.
Location: C. San Jorge, 27, 41010 Sevilla
Cerámica Artística Sevillana A González S L
Its facade matches the ceramics it sells - simple but elegant. It specialises in large plates, that you'll see hoisted on the walls above.
Location: C. Antillano Campos, 3, 41010 Sevilla
El Jardin
A boutique ceramic shop showcasing local artwork in the centre of Seville.
Location: C. Francos, 61, 41004 Sevilla, Spain
Plaza del Cabildo
Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Seville's Cathedral is Cabildo Square, a haven of pristine white walls, gorgeous arches and balconies. There are pretty shops, including Poster Felix (for vintage posters), Antingüedades Lola Ortega (an antique shop) and an unnamed ceramic shop. The ceramic tiles are particularly stunning!
Location: Plaza del Cabildo
